PACE INDEX 04: Arcadi De Miguel Sanz @arcadidemiguel
Arcadi De Miguel Sanz’s passion for photography began in nature. Since childhood, he has felt a deep connection to the outdoors - a place of peace, inspiration, and careful observation.
Spending so much time outside, often with his dog Fera, taught him to notice the details many people miss: the way light reflects on water, a sudden movement in the stillness of the forest, the wind moving across a mountain, or a flower shifting gently in the breeze.

Those moments reshaped his understanding of beauty and were the first things he felt compelled to capture.
“At the beginning, photography was simply my way of sharing those moments with others who weren’t there to experience them.”
Over time, that instinct evolved naturally. Sport had always been a significant part of his life, and he began to realise that while stillness and observation offered one kind of connection to nature, movement offered another.

Whether through running, hiking, or exploring the mountains, sport allows him to experience landscapes in a more intense and embodied way - feeling the terrain, the rhythm, and the energy of the environment around him.
Because of that, it felt inevitable that his photography would gradually move in that direction, particularly towards outdoor sport. It was not a calculated shift, but an organic one.
“It wasn’t a conscious decision at first, it just happened organically.”
Arcadi describes himself as curious, sensitive, and always attentive to the smallest details. He likes to work with whatever is around him - light, movement, texture, and the relationship between people and the environment.
More than creating beautiful images, what matters most to him is evoking feeling.
“I want my photographs to act as a window through which others can sense the atmosphere of that moment - the freedom, the energy of the mountains, the connection we feel with nature, or the amazing feeling of moving through it.”
